I think with all the contemporary new developments going on around The Edinburgh Castle it’s almost like we have this warm, glowing gem on the corner to escape from the city into.

– Bianca Isgro,
Interior Design Manager, Solotel

The Edinburgh Castle Hotel, or The Eddy, a Sydney landmark with more than a few tales to tell over its 131 years is located on the corner of Pitt and Bathurst Streets and its legend continues to live on as it opens its doors to a complete renovation of its interiors and its food and beverage offering. Famous names such as writer and poet Henry Lawson frequented The Eddy and the spaces which inspired poems and daily yarns since 1885 have been lovingly refurbished by Luchetti Krelle, Solotel’s (The Sheaf, Opera Bar, Paddington Inn) Interior Design Manager Bianca Isgro and The Building Guild. The brief was to make sure that the heritage features of the iconic Australian pub were highlighted in the new image: “I think with all the contemporary new developments going on around The Edinburgh Castle it’s almost like we have this warm, glowing gem on the corner to escape from the city into,” says Isgro.
