Workplace and Lobby Refurbishment

Located in the Macquarie Park corridor approximately ten kilometres north of the Sydney CBD, this Dexus owned office park was built in 2000 and consists of three modern office buildings with two street frontages.

Originally secured via lump sum tender, the project scope involved the 2,500sqm make good to an open plan commercial office tenancy located on level five of building B. Specifically, the tenancy scope included:

  • Demolition and removal of partitions
  • Reinstatement of ceiling grid and tiles
  • Mechanical, electrical and fire services reconfigured back to original base building design
  • New carpet tiles
  • Two new kitchenettes including joinery and vinyl flooring

In addition to the tenancy works, The Building Guild also delivered a refurbishment of the base building amenities on including five new WCs, partitions, vanities, basins and hand dryers. This portion of the scope was completed out of hours to minimise noisy works and vibration impacts on building tenants.

Lastly, the lift lobby, which consists of five lifts in the core, also received an upgrade to the tiling and installation of colour back glass to the surrounding walls. This component of the scope was added to our package of works as a variation during the project and was completed without impact to the original programme.

The entire project was delivered successfully without impact to tenant businesses and to an exacting standard, ready for marketing to potential tenants.
